Hello everybody! This Saturday is going to be a great one for college football fans as we have 4 games that match up Top-25 teams against each other. However, the Game of the Week will happen down in Athens, Georgia where the latest Top-10 matchup is going to happen with #6 LSU versus #9 Georgia. I’lll discuss my take on the game in a bit, but lets review last week.
Last week was another good, but not great, week for me and my predictions. I posted my season high, 43/55 winning the top games, but losing the bottom. My winners were LSU, Stanford, Florida, SC, Notre Dame, and Texas (I guess stick with traditional programs), while my losers were BYU to Utah, Air Force to Wyoming, Duke to Pittsburgh, and UNC to Georgia Tech. Now, this week will be tough with all the evenly balanced games, but here it goes….
10 Stanford over Washington State
9 South Carolina over Central Florida
8 Alabama over Ole Miss
7 Texas A&M over Arkansas
6 Ohio State over Wisconsin
5 SC over Arizona State (I’ll be in Tempe for the game visiting my brother)
4 Oklahoma over Notre Dame
3 Northern Illinois over Purdue
2 Georgia over LSU (34-27)
1 Minnesota over Iowa
I had a very difficult time trying to pick the Game of the Week because both of these teams are just so similar. Both have had great Quarterback, as well as Running Back, play so far this season. Both are quality SEC powerhouses, and built to make a run at the National Championship. Georgia lost its opener on the road to a very good Clemson team, but managed to salvage the next week defeating a solid South Carolina club at home. LSU, however, is undefeated and looking poised to have a chance at running the table in the SEC West and meeting Alabama later in the season for another epic battle. I decided to go with the Bulldogs because Sanford Stadium is such a difficult place to play and Aaron Murray and Todd Gurley are too formidable to contain. Hopefully, the game lives up to its billing. It’s on Saturday afternoon 3:30/12:30 on CBS. Here’s the CBS preview
